Visa-on-Arrival to Taiwan for St Kitts and St Lucia Citizens
Both St Kitts and Nevis and St Lucia have visa-on-arrival arrangements with Taiwan — a meaningful mobility benefit for principals doing business in East Asia.
The Republic of China (Taiwan) announced visa-on-arrival entry for citizens of St Kitts and Nevis and St Lucia, effective immediately.
The Announcement
The decision was made by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). In a statement, MOFA said the new policy demonstrates the closeness between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and its diplomatic allies and rests on the principles of mutual benefit and reciprocity.
Who Qualifies and for How Long
Citizens of St Kitts and Nevis and St Lucia — as well as St Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala — enjoy visa-on-arrival access to Taiwan for up to 30 days.
Nationals from El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, and Nicaragua can visit Taiwan for up to 90 days without requiring a visa.
Requirements on Arrival
Nationals of these diplomatic allies seeking visa-on-arrival entry into Taiwan must:
- Hold a standard passport valid for at least six months
- Hold a return flight or boat ticket, or a flight or boat ticket and a valid visa for an onward destination
- Possess no criminal record, as verified by immigration units upon arrival at an airport or port in Taiwan
