The Antigua Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) announced a reduction in its processing fees that was expected to make the Antigua Citizenship by Investment Programme more attractive to larger families.

What Changed

According to an official announcement made by Charmaine Donovan, then-Chief Executive Officer of the CIU, the processing fees across all investment options were reduced to increase the programme’s competitiveness against other regional programmes.

The fee reductions, which came into effect on 1 August 2017, lowered processing fees from USD 50,000 to USD 25,000 for the National Development Fund (NDF) option for a family of four, with a USD 15,000 incremental addition for each dependent after that.

The processing fee for the real estate and business investment option for a family of four was lowered to USD 50,000, and similar to the NDF option, each additional dependent after that pays USD 15,000.

The minimum investment amount did not change — for the NDF option, it remained at USD 200,000 for a family of four, real estate remained at USD 400,000, and business investment continued to start at USD 1.5 million.
